Backward Glance is a flexible and personalized service created to connect people with their past. Owner, Dawna Curler, is the author of A Lasting Impression: The Art and Life of Regina Dorland Robinson and Always Do the Right Thing: The One Hundred Year Legacy of Lawrence's Jewelers. Dawna has a master's degree in Museum Studies and over 30 years experience working for historical organizations including the New York State Historical Association, the California Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Southern Oregon Historical Society. She has worked on oral history, research, and writing projects that culminated in museum exhibits, radio and television broadcasts, publications, and public presentations. Among the colorful personalities she has written about are pioneer photographer, Peter Britt; early 20th century impressionist artist, Regina Dorland Robinson; Pinto Colvig (the original "Bozo the Clown"), and American humorist, Will Rogers. Now, through Backward Glance, Dawna offers her experience and skill to individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofit organizations in need of free-lance historical research and writing assistance.
